Cycle Servicing

Our Workshop offers 4 levels of Cycle Servicing to suit various scenarios.

As with all repairs and bike builds, our cycle servicing is carried out by competent, caring and qualified (Cytech3 and Cytech2) mechanics.

1) Basic Service: (£19 inc. VAT)

  • We lubricate moving parts like pedals, bottom bracket, brake bossess, cables, etc.
  • Adjust Front and Rear Gears
  • Adjust Front and Rear Brakes
  • Pump up tyres to correct pressure.

(Does not include adjusting Headset, Bottom Bracket, Hubs and checking and tightening all nuts and bolts)

2)  Bronze Service: (£39 inc. VAT)

This is suitable for clean bikes whose systems are not heavily worn, but are out of adjustment and do not require many or any new parts fitted.

We adjust the brakes, gears, bottom bracket and hubs; true the wheels and pump the tyres; lubricate the transmission and other parts; remove the seat post, pedals and handlebar stem and regrease where necessary, and check for tightness of all the key bolts & fastenings on the bike. This service does not include the fitting of parts, or cleaning the bike. If your bike is not heavily used, or has sat in the garage for a long period, or is just feeling a bit baggy, then this is the one for you.

Please note:

  • This price is exclusive of parts.
  • This service does not include the fitting charges for consumables required, unless it exceeds the cost of the next service level (Silver).
  • Consumables are classed as: tyres, tubes, wheels, all control cables, brake pads, as well as any transmission parts – including derailleur’s, chain and rear sprocket but excluding bottom bracket and chain set.
  • This service does not include cleaning. We reserve the right to surcharge for excessively dirty bikes.
  • Price subject to change if any parts are seized.

3) Silver Service: (£79 inc. VAT)

A Silver Service is very comprehensive and therefore suitable for regularly used bikes with many worn parts which need replacing.

For this price we will set up and adjust all the systems on your bike. This includes: the adjustment of brakes, gears, bottom bracket and hubs as necessary; truing the wheels and inflation of the tyres; cleaning the frame and wheels and wiping down the transmission and a relube; removal of the seat post, pedals and handlebar stem and regreasing where necessary; checking for tightness all the key bolts & fastenings on the bike. During this process we will also, where necessary, replace all the key consumable gear, brake, wheel and transmission parts. This is a great value package: if your bike is very well used, this will put it right.

Please note:

  • This price is exclusive of parts.
  • This service includes the fitting charges, where necessary, of all 'consumables.' These are:  tyres, tubes, wheels, all control cables, brake pads, as well as any transmission parts – including chain set, derailleur’s, chain and rear sprocket but excluding bottom bracket.
  • Other parts will attract an extra fitting charge.
  • This service also includes cleaning: we will clean your frame and wheels and wipe down your transmission. We reserve the right however, to surcharge for the cleaning of excessively dirty bikes.
  • This service does not apply to bikes with hub gears - which are charged as a seperate item.
  • This service does not include the service and overhaul of suspension forks or hydraulic brakes which can be added on at a 15% discounted rate.
  • Price subject to change if any parts are seized.

4) Gold Service: (£149 inc. VAT)

A Gold Service is a fully comprehensive service aimed at ensuring optimum performance on top end bikes; or restoring heavily used bikes whose systems are worn out and need lots of parts replacing.

If you need a service that not only adjusts and replaces all the shorter life 'consumables,' but one that really treats everything including the internals, then consider this. For this price we will strip the entire bike and put it back together again – replacing parts where necessary. We will also face the bottom bracket and tap the threads where appropriate. All decent bikes deserve a full overhaul every few years and in some cases, much more often.

Please note:

  • This price is exclusive of parts.
  • Fully inclusive of the fitting, where necessary, of all parts.
  • Includes the overhaul of internal assemblies on the bicycle, including the bottom bracket and BB threads, hub and headset bearings.
  • This service does not apply to bikes with hub gears – which are charged as a separate item.
  • This service does not include the service and overhaul of suspension forks or hydraulic brakes which can be added on at a 15% discounted rate.
  • Includes wheel repairs but not wheel building.
  • Includes a deep clean and polishing.
  • Price subject to change if parts are seized.
